Brush Back to School!


The best first step to keeping your teeth and mouth clean is to brush your teeth! Are you earning a passing grade in brushing? Check out some of these oral health tips to test your family on as it comes time to head back to school!

    • The best thing to do when looking for a toothbrush is to ask your dentist for a recommendation. After an oral examination, he or she will be able to recommend the best brush for you based on your current brushing patterns.
    • The size of your brush should depend on the size of your teeth. For efficient brushing, make sure to choose a toothbrush that allows for easy access to cleaning all areas of your mouth.
    • The most preferred (and safe) choice is a soft-bristled toothbrush, However, this also depends on the intensity of your brushing. Your dentist will be able to recommend a proper brush for you based on your brushing intensity and practices.
  3. Toothpaste-
    • Fluoride is an essential cavity-fighting ingredient. Make sure the toothpaste you choose includes fluoride! Baking soda is also a wonderful ingredient that cleans teeth without stripping enamel.
