Dr. Eric Nielsen
“The dental profession has provided a wonderful way to support my wife and children, to serve my fellow men, and to provide wonderful opportunities to give back to the community. It defines my motto, ‘Changing lives, one smile at a time’.” – Dr. Nielsen
Dr. Eric Nielsen grew up on the Rocky Mountains in northern Utah. He attended BYU-Idaho in Rexburg, Idaho for his undergraduate education, earning his Bachelor’s degree in Business Management with honors. He then attended SUNY Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in Buffalo, New York. There, he enjoyed going on dental mission trips to the Dominican Republic and Tonga while earning his Doctorate of Dental Surgery.
Dr. Nielsen is a member of the American Dental Association, the Oklahoma Dental Association, and the Tulsa County Dental Society. He regularly updates his education with an emphasis on endodontics, allowing him to provide convenience and a high quality of care to his patients.
Dr. Nielsen and his wife, Melissa, have five children—Porter, Adelaide, Charlotte, Anastasia, and Hazel. Dr. Nielsen and Melissa enjoy staying busy with their growing family, whether they’re working in the garden at home or out exploring the wilds of Oklahoma.
Being a child of the mountains, Dr. Nielsen loves hiking, fishing, camping, and hunting (if you take him, he will give you a sweet discount on any treatment you may need). He recently developed an interest in archery and bow hunting.

“Viva la Vida;” that’s how I begin my day, which loosely translates to English as “Live your Life.” It’s important that once you step out of your bed you must take full ownership of how your day is going to go. So, I “Viva la Vida” every day! This type of attitude ensures a smooth day with my staff and my patients.
When I walk in the door, my first priority is to ensure our patients have a satisfying dental experience. A smile is a wonderful thing; seeing our patients leave with a smile brought on by a wonderful and caring staff is what I look forward to.
On a personal level, I enjoy traveling, learning about different cultures, hiking, and running. I share my life with a wonderful person who has only brought me multiple smiles on a daily basis. I have five dogs that keep me a busy mommy. I am a city girl, but I enjoy fishing (catch and release), something I learned from moving from New York to Oklahoma. The epitome of my day is making people smile and knowing that “smiles are free, just give them away, we are here for your dental needs in any way”!
